Why the Cuban Collar Is Different to Iron

Iron Slightly Damp
Cotton-blend Cuban shirts iron out far more easily when the fabric is slightly damp rather than bone dry. If the shirt has already dried, a light mist of water before ironing makes a real difference.
Start With the Collar, Flat
Lay the collar flat and iron it in the direction it naturally sits — open and relaxed, not folded upward. This preserves the open-neck look that makes styles like the Maroon With White Stripe and White Fabric Chain Print shirts work as a breathable warm-weather layer.
Move to the Yoke and Shoulders

Heat Setting Matters
