But slim fit has a practical ceiling in a hot, humid climate — tight fabric against skin in Dhaka's heat is genuinely uncomfortable, and that discomfort is part of why the shift away from it stuck once it started.
Global Streetwear Set the Direction
Baggy silhouettes re-entered global fashion through skate and hip-hop-adjacent streetwear, and Bangladeshi menswear followed with a lag of a couple of years, as it usually does with global trends. What made it stick locally wasn't just the aesthetic — it was that a looser fit is simply more livable in local weather.
